How to Participate

2022 Festival Dates

The Ocean County Teen Arts Festival will take place the week of March 21st to 25th. Virtual adjudications and workshops will take place throughout the week, with in-person adjudications, performances, and workshops held at Ocean County College on March 22nd and 23rd.

Step 1: School Registration Form

The School Registration Form is the first step to ensure your students can participate in the 2022 Ocean County Teen Arts Festival. This form should be filled out by your school’s Teen Arts Coordinator and submitted ONCE. Please speak with teachers from all disciplines before submitting and indicate, to the best of your ability, what areas your students will participate in. If there are any updates to your plans, feel free to let us know as we use this preliminary registration to plan workshops and adjudicators.

Due Date: Friday, February 18, 2022, at 5 pm

Who fills out this form: Teen Arts Coordinators

Number of Submissions: 1 per school

Cost per school:

  • $200 to participate in virtual or in-person adjudication and workshops
  • An additional $50 will be required for schools submitting for the adjudication of large group performances

Step 2: Entry Form

The Entry Form is used to submit your individual students and groups’ performances, artwork, and writing submissions for adjudication. This form should be filled out by the discipline teachers for each student or group submission.

Last Date for Submission: Friday, March 11th, 2022 at 2 pm

Who fills out this form: Teachers/Directors for their discipline

Number of Submissions: As many as needed as per Festival Guidelines. Please check this page as Guidelines for your category may have changed for the 2022 Festival!

Step 3: Workshop Registration

In addition to adjudications, Workshops will be available for students to attend during the week of the festival. We highly recommend registering for workshops in advance is as many have limited spaces available and fill up quickly. This should be done by the individual student based on their individual festival schedule OR by a teacher who will be presenting a workshop to an in-school class. Please note – access links for virtual workshops cannot be shared with multiple devices. 1 access link per viewing device.

Due Date: Prior to Workshop date and time, either in-person or online.

Number of Submissions: 1 per workshop

Step 4: In-Person or Virtual Festival Attendance

A full schedule of programming, including workshops and performances, will be available in the week leading up to the festival.

Schools may attend the Ocean County Teen Arts Festival in person, in which they must follow all Ocean County College campus safety procedures for COVID-19. Masks are required indoors for all persons (vaccinated or unvaccinated) unless exceptions have been granted for individual performance groups.

The Live Virtual Celebration will take place on Friday, March 25, 2022, at 1:00 PM EDT and will be broadcast on Facebook and YouTube. During this broadcast, we will announce and highlight those selected as Outstanding Achievement.
